hello fantastic fans,.....

there's loads of things coming up during the month of july including a radio broadcast of "frank sidebottom's story of pop" ...... details to follow...

my mad cow puppet will be making a return this week,... when he does his first bit of telly ever.... (his last apperance was onstage in leeds in the '90's) ,..... but let me warn you in advance.............. he's mad !!!!!!!!! and i mean stark raving bonkers mad !!!!!!!

anyway...... since he got the mad cow desease,.... i've tried not to use him too much,... but as i am running out of material,.... i'm having to scrape the barrel a bit !!!! but if you tune into channel m's "city life social" (sky 203) at 10pm on thursday,... i'll try and do a faily semi-proffesional job. (there are at least 3 repeats of this show - see my 'shows' ).

right ..... here's me and my "oh blimey big band" doing "je'tame wild thing in timperley" and "space is ace" at the labour club last week.



don't forget i'm judge (with the lord mayor of altrincham) for this saturday's "altrincham festival ,... i'll be following the floats all the way to the playing feilds in timperley (nest the the labour club - the grange) where we'll decide who gets this years trophy ,....... brides now being taken !!!!! ..... only joking !!! (not really !) .... it's worth going for the fun fair alone ,... (see "my home movies" dvd.)

i'm on iain lee's virgin radio show next tuesday night (8th june) from 10pm till 11pm ,..
and the great news is .... that mr. lee has agreed to join me live onstage for my "unroyal varietey show" at the bull and gate in kentish town on 19th july along with the 'royal jugs' who are ace and played at craggy island with me earlier in the year ,.. and also my "oh blimey big band" (plus other suprise acts to be added) ... for tickets go to www.wegotickets.com/event/32606

hello fantastic fans,.....

a great big ace "thank you" to all who came on this weekends "magical timperley tour" and nightime concert,.... a wonderful time was had by all,... including me ..... "thank you" !

it's been a busy few days for me,..... starting last thursday when me and bonehead were on channel m "city life social" having a ace and exciting 'minic motorway' race and i'll be on this week's programme again with gerry at 10pm thursday 26th on channel m (sky 203 -virgin media 878).....

then i stayed up all night to make my model of timperley to be on friday morning's breakfast show , which i did with lab rat,... clancey the clown,... captain scarlet and more...,..... then the moment that was finished .....

.... i was off with a channel 4 film crew to wigan where my 'thespian skills' came out as i acted at being like from big brother..... (i think i got him off to a tee.... he is a hard personality to play,.... and a million miles from myself,... and my life... but i pulled it off !!!!!) ..... see clip below

after filming ,.... it was off to reherse with my "oh blimey big band" for sunday night's concert...... and here is me with my "oh blimey big band" at timperley labour club 22nd june.

on saturday,.... i was at "the tony wilson experience" in manchester,.... which was also broadcast on thye big screen in cethedral gardens,... and was covered by channel m news over the weekend ,.... with me interviewing people in the streets of manchester....

saturday night,.... i was booked to do a private birthday doo for doug at the cinnamen club in bowden ,......... and then sunday was 4 fantastic magical timperley tour bus trips ,..... plus the concert at night.....

i had areporter with me for all four days,... who took loads of pics and is writing the whole experience up for a big spread in 'nude' magazine.... i'll let you know when its out,.... and he's going to let me have some of the behind the scenes photos....

wetdude was also on the bus tour ,... taking a load of new 3d photo's which will be on www.franksworld.co.uk soon ...... there's loads of clips and photos etc popping up on youtube allready ,...... thank you to all of you who post these,..... and i'll get my stuff loaded this week,..... along with loads more.....

meanwhile,.... to be going on with....

hello fantastic fans,....



as you know i was down at the cavern in liverpool last week,... well i was waiting to go on in the dusty old dressing room (like paul does) ,..and i uncovered this rare footage ,..... never before seen...



i've loads more on the spool (only joking ... it's a dvd really , done by a reema-leema man (brian))..... so more will follow (subscribe ... to see them first.

this friday i am doing a tour of radio stations doing them interviews ....(where i talk to the disc jockies),.... and i'll be taking my keyboard with me.....

i'll give updates as to which sation at what time etc,... so you can tune in your crystal radio sets in ,... or for crysatal clear radio - the fm and dab ,.... and also the websites.

here's somthing that someone has edited themselves for youtbube ....



but all those drumming ones on youtube are not me.....

what's going on in kent ?,... you may well ask???
all will be revealed ,... one day !!!!

well it was a busy week last week,... with me doing the breakfast show most mornings,... plus bbc radio,... plus 4 concerts (one a secret one in kent !!!) plus my usual channel m stuff....
here's last friday's rocket launch ....

i'm back to kent now for a bit of secret filming ,.... then i'm on the city social on thursday at 10pm (sky 203) ,..... then i'm on at 'joshua brooks' on friday ,... but i've forgotten where that is ??? ,..... any help anyone.

hello fantastic fans,.....

just to let you know that my mum is going spare about her kithchen utencils i've ruined !!! ( see this week's telly)

but first ,... a big 'thank you' to all who came to see me in st. helens on friday,.... and then in kent on saturday at soloman's ..... and then at eurocultured in manchester on sunday. ,..
..... also i hope you enjoyed me and my agent (and arch ememy) nigel round ,... on the dave ward show on bbc manchester this morning.

well there will be loads of telly on channel m this week as -
i'm on the breakfast everyday till friday,... at 8.45am every morning.... that's good !
....then i'm also on the "city life" social this thursday night at 10pm with a late repeat at midnight (or midnight thirty ?) plus again on friday night at 10pm......
then on saturday the 31st may ... they are showing highlights of the "eurocultured" event which was presented by me and gerry..... that's at 10pm also..... and all on channel m.

....and don't forget you can get channel m anywhere in the u.k. (and western europe too) on sky 203 .... or virgin 878 ,.... or with your coat-hanger in the manchester area on free to view 39 ,...... and for the rest of the world .... you can go on the channel m website at www.channelm.co.uk where all shows are posted about a week later....

..... also ..... don't forget the "magical timperley tour" is coming up in a few weeks ,...

there's loads and loads to tell you about ,..... including some progress with my robot ("robottom") , and also my follow up album to "a,b,c&d" ,..... "e,f,g&h" ,.... so keep logging onto my blogs...

hello fantastic fans,.....

and welcome to another ace and top blog from me here in timperley....

in the next week i'm meeting up with the boss of 1977 records, who's come over from japan to see me about some japaneese releases !!!! ,,,, i'll keep you informed.

and yes i'm in the art world now ...... i've just been to woolworths in alty today and bought a quality pack of felt tip pens... (40 colours) ,... they should be £1.24 but are on special offer for a quid. so exspect some new artwork soon.

i now have a london art agent too (mr smith) who you can contact through my 'thingy links' on www.franksworld.co.uk where you can also veiw some of my past art....... (more to be added soon).

new concerts are in for the beehive in badford on the 10th may and the citadel arts centre in st. helens on 23rd. ... but the concerts for the cavern and joshua brooks have been put back........... and don't forget that tickets are now on sale for the "magical timperley tour" on 22nd june ( click on my 'shows' list for full ticket details).

filming is now well underway for my 3rd series ofmy "proper telly show in b/w" and there will be some old repeats coming up on channel m soon. .... and you can also write to me there - frank sidebottom (in person) c/o channel m, urbis, manchester, m4 3bg , u.k. and if you put a s.a.e. you'll get a reply.

and what a great thrill it was to be onstage with yoko ono last friday,.... photo’s from the bluecoat to follow as soon as i get my film back from the chemist.... (keep checking my ’pics’).

hello fantastic fans,....
i've been fixing my garden shed today,.. which took a bit of a battering recently ,... but it's ok.

and yes,.. i did eat too much cake on monday,.... but i’m ok !!! (i have to watch my weight you kow,.... being in showbizness and all that !).

well,... on the concert front ,... i’m at the "salutation" in manchester (behind the university) next thursday (10th april) ,.... and then the following night i’m at york city f.c.’s social cub on kit kat lane in york. there’s my ace marathon show at the ’citadel’ in st. helens on 23rd may ,.... and then the following week i’m at ’the cavern’ in liverpool on the 28th as part of a special benefit night (but not for mr. kite,... allthough i might sing that !!!)

......
there's also my 'unroyal varietiey show' coming up at the bull and gate in kentish town which will be a gala show.
.......and the big one for june is what could be my last ever (on the 22nd ) "magical timperley tour" (as we might have outgrown it). places will be scarce, as the open top bus only hold 30 people on each of the 3 trips,... so book early !. but it’s a ace chance to get me as your personal tour guide,.. and ther’ll be some ace new surprises on this one both on and off the bus !!!. .... for full booking details for the bus tour and evening concert at timperley labour club,.... phone mr. alston (the bus conductor) on 07966 189650 or 0161 652 1217 and he’ll sort you out.
