hello fantastic fans,.........
and the ace news is ( especially those who live in america).....
i will be touching down on n.y. tarmac on the morning of the first of the fourth 2007.
and while in new york i wil be doing............
a concert, a radio interview, a record shop signing, a press confrence and photo call, plus a bit of telly.
...... but i won't be hanging about as i'll have to be on the next plane home to take out next doors dog, and do the shopping for me mum.
but don't worry the rest of america, as i'll be back on the friday to conquer the rest of the u.s. over the weekend. ( dates in san francisco and vagas being put in now).

nearer home in timperley ( and i can't get much nearer) i will be doing a magical timperley tour 2, at the end of october (tickets will be £ 9.99p) from the bus conducter ( full details at the weekend).
and december will see me doing two night at the timperley sports and social club with my seasonal

hello fantastic fans
and a special 'thank you' to all who came to see me in glasgow last night,........it was ace.
this week is for trying to get loads finished.....
1st....... there's my new album
2nd........there's a puppet of 'little mark e. smith' ( more about that soon.
and 3rd...... i must get my robot (robottom) finished,,,,, and then i'll show the world.....

.......it's not my idea of fun !!!!!!!! ( my mum's not into buddha !)
the poster paints are coming out, and a new kilt for little frank beckons........

the arty art art gallery opening was ace and you can see my "oink" artwork in the gallery space on wilbrham road in chorlton, manchester..... for a while.
there are only a couple of shows added to this year now, as i am gearing up for making episodes 2 to 13 of my animated tv adventures, and i've got my new "proper telly show" starting soon on channel m.
so with my album to finish and get out, the live shows will have to die down, so see me while you can,

hello fantastic fans........frank sidebottom here actually
just to let you know that i am doing a bit of that fantastic ribbon cutting this wednesday night at a new art gallery which is opening in chorlton, manchester. i've been rooting through some of the old artwork that i did for 'oink' comic, and i'll be bringing something along to stick up after the scissor biz.....
(full details in the extended entry).
i'm also up in glasgow this weekend along with little frank (cardboard kilt at the ready) and i'm putting the finishing touches to my new album.
my new proper telly show (in black and white) is shaping up nicely too, and there will be a way that lots of you can get involved,..........but that starts in november......read on.......

so it's........ art at art's art gallery, which is on this wednesday at 6.30 till 9 o'clock (pm) at 412 wilbrham road, chorlton.manchester m21 0sd (07858390059) and i'll be cutting the ribbon and sticking my art up around 8pm. there is lots more art and artists to come and see and meet and there is a bit of a party going on next door in polar bar, but i think that's ticket only, which also sais on it that there is a suprise celebratry appearance???????? anyway ..... come down and say hello and mingle with us arty people

a big thank you to all who came to see me at the lowry, it was ace,....... and one of the raffle prizes was to
tak little denise out on the town for the weekend....... so if you spot her over the next few days,
get a photo and send it in, and i'll put it on little frank's site to make him jealous.

just a quick note to say that my proper telly show is well under way, and you'll be able to see it all over the world at the same time. (full details to follow).
meanwhile...... i'm looking forward to the lowry tonight, and i think that the masked magician from timperley might be on too..... ( i don't know who he is ,... but he's very handsome and has very nice smooth hair)

hello fantastic fans,..... i've just come back from the bigshorts match, where the bad news is we lost 2-1 at home to moss side after being 1 up through captain chris mcnaughton's first half strike.. that puts us firmly at the bottom of of the premier division of the manchester amatuer sunday league after loosing last week to the hough end police 5-1. well we can only go up from here, and soon there will be a special link to a timperley bigshorts f.c. site so you can keep up to date and look at the archives of the past 16 years,. details to follow soon ( when mr heywood gets back from the red sea.) and in the extended entry.
..........meanwhile back in showbiz........ i'm at the lowry this week in salford, and you can also hear me being interviewed on bbc gmr on thursday morning at 11:37 ish. and i'm now doing a better way of concert news for you my fans, which is also explained below. "free download" still costs absolutely nothing, and thanks for coming to see me in worksop, it was ace...best regards, frank sidebottom.......

if you now want to keep up to date on my concert news and last minute changes, then you can still click on "concerts" on the "showbiz" page, but now you'll be taken to my "myspace" page on the internet which gives you more info on concerts, and you can also leave me comments if you've seen a show, which i do read ( and if i get time i do reply ). plus i can fit more concert info on like times, and ticket box office numbers, and "if" little frank is planning to ruin the show or not etc.etc..plus it keeps a diary of all past shows too.( and i hope to be adding clips of video and sound to these as and when......)
plus as i said,... by the end of the month the timperley bigshorts site will be up and running, it will keep you up to date on league tables, results, and if you ever fancied playing for them ! ! ! (and if, not you can still get the kit and pretend you play for the bigshorts in your back garden).

hello ace fans, well after me being on channel m's "4 manchester" show last week, it looks like i've got my own weekly spot on it every sunday night at 10 starting in november......... brilliant hey !!! .. yes i've been talking with telly bigwig mr parrot, and he sais it will go out live to the whole world at the same time too. details on this , and how to view last week's show with gerry, are in the extended entry.
meanwhile, i was chatting with simon who runs the "bigshorts" today and he says that we are home against moss side ( who we beat in last seasons cup final ) at timperley rec. (see map on timperley page in not showbiz... the pitch is marked in the middle of timperley next to my ear !!!). also don't forget that the webmaster is back off his hols tomorrow, so if you are waiting for e-mails he'll catch up...... after he's been to my ace concert at the circle theatre in worksop( 7.30pm 8th sept). the show could be spoilt though, as little frank will be there, you know he will, he really will. frank sidebottom...... p.s. -

hello fantastic fans
i don't know if any of you are artists (like myself) and work in the fantastic medium of felt tip pens !
well here's a warning for you.
i've been sat up late at night in bed doing various bits of artwork for some forthcoming releases etc and while i was daydreaming (or should that be nightdreaming ?) i started to do a doddle of doodle on the wall next to my bed which looks fantastic.
but in the morning i got some matt peach emulsion to paint over it before my mum sees it, but everytime it dries, the doodle keeps reappearing !!!!! it just comes straight back !!!!
i've done about 18 coats up to now but it's still there !!!!! ..............read on ....for showbiz news.....

...... so this week i'm playing in worksop at the circle theatre, which should be fantastic.
it's in russ's home town , so he'll be there as he will be back off holiday, he said he's got sunshine and we haven't. don't forget you can also catch up with me on and chat with other fans of mine, just go on myspace.com and type in frank sidebottom and i'm there. i use this a lot for last minute ticket details etc.
then next week it's the lowry in salford, ( i went there last night to see my mate john cooper clarke, and very proffessional and entertaining he was too , but my mum would never let me comb my hair like that ) anyway ...... even if the world ends after the sun implodes and there is absolutley nothing just a vast mass black empty void of nothing,........ my felt tip pen doodle will still come back...... any tips ?????

frank sidebottom here actually.......... and a big thank you to all who came to see me at the thornton little theatre, where the manager said that since they refurbished in 2003, i broke the record for advance tickets, and they want me back there soon. ( maybe my panto in the new year hey !!!)
so the dvd is mastered, with a running time of over 90 minutes..... there's loads on it !!!
(see extended entry for more details on dvd and usa tour)
meanwhile it's the circle theatre in worksop this week (8th sept) and the box office number for that is 01909 474458, and i'm on stage at 7.30 pm to do 2 x 50 minutes sets ( acording to my contract from mr. round) but for you i may run over for at leasr 23 seconds ( weather permitting ), so come along and see me and little frank for our first time at this venue,,,,,,,,, read on.......

..........yes plans are underway with my new york agents (dennis and lois,.. yes ... that dennis and lois !!!)
for me to set foot in the usa on 1:4:07 where i will be doing some ace shows in new york, a free concert in a major record store , some radio, and little frank will be doing his own show on public access telly, (which should be bobbins),...... then it's onto san francisco where i'l be playing live with the phantom surfers (i hope) and we hope to have a record out at the same time too.
meanwhile back in timperley, i've finished editing the dvd,... and aswell as the "frank's world" animation there is a "making of ..." documentry. plus a "behind the making of..." documentry, plus a 35 minute photo gallery and a fantastic trailer for steve sullivan's "magical timperley tour" film, which looks ace.
the whole thing should be pressed up by reema - leema and out on dvd for my show at the lowry on 15th september........ also i hope you all liked me on "4 manchester" the channel m show, as i may be doing some more stuff for them.
anyway ...keep downloading the free download, as it costs absolutley nothing ( you'll find it if you click on "showbiz" under "music downloads"

yes , my concert at the little theatre in thornton, cleveleys (victoria rd east) has finally arrived and little frank is very excited (just because it's called a "little" theatre !!!!!
so i'll be on at 7 little thirty, for two little 50 minute sets, and the tickets are a little ten pounds.

but if you cant make it to the show

i'm on channel m today (2nd sept) at10am 4pm and 12.30 after midnight on "4 manchester" with gerry and ace it is too. you can get channel m with a normel telly/ariel/coat hanger if you live in the greater manchester area. or on cable or sky 203.
