now,... as you may know,... my tape recorder has gone and packed up just as i was finishing my album ,...
i blame 'robottom' (my robot) and little frank......... but the man at the shop said it can be fixed in four days,........ which means that my album titled "11:3:7" won't come out till 19:3:7 on cd,......... but i can have it out on 11:3:7 as a download but it means i wont have any copies for my album launch.... what should i do ????
i could either get a small run of cd's done for the launch,......... or simply change the album title... you decide !

yes.. the usa day in new york has now turned into 3 and goes somthing like........

*** sunday 1st april (yes !!! i know it's april fools day !!!) i'm on an areoplane doing inflight entertainment...
*** 6.00 am touchdown at jfk and meet my fans...(and yes there are loads coming at that time of day !)
*** 6.45 am press confrence ( yes there will be press waiting !!)
*** 11:37 am live on stage at virgin records in new york,... plus album signing
*** afternoon is for radio and more press inteviews (and an hour on cable puppet tv ???)
*** 9pm on stage at the mercury lounge in new york.

*** monday the 2nd april....more interviews plus the letterman shw is looking good
*** 8pm on stage at the bowery in new york as support to a very very ace big name ..

*** tuesday the 3rd april ???? not sure in the day,... maybe shopping for my mum ???
*** 9pm live on stage in new jersey at maxwells (over the river)

and the whole thing is being filmed for not one,.. not two,.. not three,.. but four tv documentries..!

hello fantastic fans,.........
it is absolutley bobbins news i bring as i say that my new albummay have to be delayed as my recorder has broken just as i was finishing it off,... and it's supposed to go to press on monday....... i'll keep you informed !.

on the tell front there's loads happening,......... i did that bbc 2 thingy last week, and there's a bbc 3 show which i'm recording next week ( and paul mccarney's on it .... and i introduce him!!!)... then there's the "podge and dodge" show over in ireland on rte 2 ( which goes out on 6th march) and of course there's my " proper telly show in b/w" which goes out every week on channel m (see last bog for full veiwing details and how to get free 3d glasses)
but it's on at 10pm friday's in black and white, with sunday repeats at 11.30 am and 9 pm and there's a wednesday afternoon one at 3pm. ( i also do the "living testcard" every night while they close down till 6 am in the morning !)

well the usa seems to be shaping up (after getting ouy of shopping for my mum !)......... it now goes somthing like this.........

***3rd april ( yes i know the's no special thing about the 3rd!!!) i go across the river to new jersey to play at maxwells and do an interview for rolling stone. and the whole thing is being filmed for 3 (yes three) different tv documentries and also for a dvd extra for my next "frank's world" release on reema - leema.

there is a week of manchester shows coming up, plus trips to ireland and scotland plus dates round the country.

hello fantastic fans,.........................
and i am working flat out this week to finish my new album, to make sure it gets pressed up in time for it's release date on 11;3; 7 as that is the title of the album too. there are 23 tracks in all but i've not tined them yet so i hope they'll all fit on........... (i've not even listened to little frank's contributions yet !!!!)

this weeks concert is at the raglan rooms in portsmouth on sunday the 25th and there is also another "proper telly show in b/w" this friday ............read extended entry for the full details.

i'm also due to start work in a couple of days on the next 9 (!) episodes of hte "frank's world" animation -
two of which will go into production in may with 'reema-leema' again and should be aound 10 minutes long each.
but workis also underway for the production of of seven half hour episodes which will be made as a co production with a top bigwig telly outfit (more details to follow soon .........

so as i said ,.......... its portsmouth this sunday the 25th february,......... and i'm on at "the black cat thingy" which is in the raglan room, @ the alma arms in southsea, portsmouth.
the doors are 7.30pm and it is eight pounds and thirty-one pence to get in ! (8.31p)

then there are still two repeats (in colour) this week, of last weeks "proper telly show in b/w" on tuesday 20th feb at 23:00 and one on wednesday afternoon (21st) at 3pm. this episode was a 'magic' sprcial with my guests 'mr.fantastico' and also' the magic numbers' who played live.

this weeks new episode will be at it's usual time of 10pm on friday night (in black and white) with it's coulour repeat on sunday at 9pm... with some added repeats when they fit them in !!! but you can watch all the past episodes and check transmission times on the www.channelm.co.uk web site.

you will also need 3d glasses for the last 2 episodes and the next 4,... which if you've not got any (red and blue gel)

well nobody seems to beleive me that there is going to be a feature film made about me,.... and they'd be right !!!
because there isn't going to be 'a' feature film being made about me........ there's going to be two actually !!!
but don't get your pop corn ready yet, as the first one won't be out for a couple of years,... and i'm not even in that one,.......... they've still got to cast someone who looks as ace as me !!! any ideas ????

hello fantastic fans,........
building robots takes a long time as the song goes,......... and the song does !!!!
and i'm on the telly twice this week bbc 2 plus channel m, and i'm on the radio, and playing a concert in liverpool at the magnet on sunday.................... full details in my '.....read on......'

yes i've been in my shed the last couple of days working on my album (due out next month) and working on my robot (due to be finished 20 years ago when i started it), and both are going great,.........
my robot is called "robottom" and his brain is a zx81 with a 16k ram pack on it (stuck on with sticky tape as the velcro has long worn out) and the whole thing will be driven by the massive power of not one,... but 2 zx specrum 48 k's (one with a built in tape deck for data imput,......... so as you can see,....... as far as robotic's go - - -
the world is my lobster ! you know it is,... it really is....

hello fantastic fans,.........
and i write this with less than two hours to go till my first ever 3d "proper telly show in b/w" broadcast goes out.
.......... and it'll be on every week, every friday night at 10 pm on channel m (see 'read on' for veiwing details and repeat times and how to get you free 3d glasses).
yes i'm getting ready for a monumental broadcast along with one of the spice girls and a smith for what should be the start of something ace, fantastic and top !!! ( aslong as littlt frank does not ruin it !!!) and for my hardcore fans there will be a first ever live telly performance of one of my new songs, so that should be good.

also i've been doing a deal for a proper film (for the pictures ) to be made details of which will filter through on myspace this week, but you wont be able to go just yet sold hold back on the popcorn.

i play at the charter theatre on saturday night in preston, and i will be adding loads of new dates to this site over the next week for all round the country ...... and the world (but japan has to wait till next year ... i think !)

there's loads of news to come about me on loads of other telly over the next month, and radio too and pop videos and i'm doing a telly advert too and my new album comes out next month and the 'bigshorts' are going for the cup (again) and a load load load more,............ so keep logging on

(ther is a late repeat (in colour ??) at 1am in the morning)
then ther are full colour repeats on
saturday at 11pm........sunday at 9 pm,...........monday at 11pm,.......... and tuesday at11pm,.........

you can tune into channel m on normal telly on free to air 39 (in the manchester area only)
or it's on satalite on sky guide 203
or on cable on n.t.l. 878
or you can watch every episode the following wednesday onwards on www.channelm.co.uk anywhere in the world,........ and probabley other places too.!!!

if you have not got any red and blue 3d telly glasses,... then you can pick up a pair from channel m reception in urbis, manchester for free with a picture card of me in 3d with it (while stocks last) or you can send a s.a.e. to -

apart from trouble with my right ear !!!i've just been a bit busy the last half hour writing some of them poems as i've got a couple of them litteruary (?) (reading out loud) events coming up soon so i thought i'd better knock off a load of that poetry before i go ( a sample can be read in my 'extended/read on' entry which also includes details of my concert at the charter theatre in preston on saturday and how to get your 3d glasses for friday night)...... which brings me to -

the next run of my "proper telly show in b/w" starts this friday night at 10pm on channel m. i'm trying to line up a special guest who could play a violin shaped bass guitar ??? ( do any of 'the spice girls aloud" play bass ??? and who played the bass in "the smiths" ? - let me know on my www.myspace.com/franksidebottom and give me there home phone number, or it'll be little frank on bass this week !!! and that'd be bobbins !!!). this next season of shows includes some broadcast bits in 3d so if your mum has thrown away you "jaws 3d" glasses that you got with shreaded wheat (like my mum did !) then the panic is on to get some pronto (tonto) or you wont be able to see what wonderful objects i'm bringing into your living room/bedroom/kitchen or wherever it is you watch telly !.

then also on the 17th feb i'm on bbc 2 telly at 10 pm on a show called "comedy map of britain", though why they've asked me to be on that i don't know ???? i'm a serious artist/musician/poet/photographer/bassist and 3d telly man with a ear infection !!! you know i am,... i really am,.................

and we are on a 7 day countdown to the start of the next run of my "proper telly show in b/w" which launches on channel m this friday 9:2:7 at 10 pm gmt. (full tune in details and times and channels etc in the extended entry).
you may remember that i did the paul o'grady show a before christmas and emma bunton (ex-spice girl) was on and i've been trying to get her phone number to get her on my show,........ but with no luck !!!!! i've looked in the phone book under "e", "b", and "ex-s.g." , but can't find her in it,....... i'll try the yellow pages next under "singing ladies !" and see if i have any look. anyway,......... if i can't get her on i'll try" the magic numbers" under "t", "m", and "n" , and see how i get on,......... if not i can always get one of my showbiz mates fron "the smiths" or maybe paul mccartney might do it again ??? who ever !!!!!!!!!!!! the main thing is that i'm on, and i'll be bringing you some fantastic telly in that dimention that we all call "3". so don't forget that you'll need special glasses to view it.
at time of writing this i can tell you that plans are underway to give pairs away with next fridays 'manchester evening news' and they will also be running some special '3d adverts' in the paper that issue too, so even if you havn't got a telly yet, you can still take part in my 3d extraviganza.
but if you live outside the m.e.n area or don't want to buy a paper, then you should still be able to get your 3d glasses from the channel m reception, or write to them with a s.a.e. and ask for your free pair, the address is -
