hello fantastic fans,.....

i've just made little buz aldrin (the american space puppet that little frank met on the moon) a new spakle 2d drum kit ,........... that's good !!! ,.... and i've been moving a lot of new things into 'reema leema' studios too. !!!

well there are now concerts now for three weeks till manchester and york (see my ’shows’ list),.... so there is no excuse now,..... i’ll finish off the first of my 3 albums. ......... the first being "e,f,g&h" which will have over 70 minutes of music and chat,........ including a interview i did with pete best of ’the beatles’ ,... and aswell as loads of new songs,.... there will be some golden oldies you can no longer get,... like "hey you roit-policeman" and"panic",.... and that will e out on cd on cherry red records very soon.

i’ve also started my new series of my "proper telly show in b/w" wich should start going out around the end of april on channel m...... i’ve moved my telly set into the ’reema-leema’ secret base studios,..... but this series will have me out and about too.,..... and there will be some new test card soon too both in the uk,.... and the usa.!!!!!

did anyone see the "fran's world" animation on the big screen at sheffield station at the start of this month ????

hello fantastic fans,.........

finally my "proper telly show in b/w" is underway,... i have all the new guests and bands lined up and start fiming this week ......... read on...........

also......... the first (e,f,g &h) of my three new albums should be finished this week,... keep logging on for release details......

also there's quite a bit of new radio being lined up,... and telly for other channels..... i'll keep you informed !!!

...... but first......... a big ace "thank you" to everyone who came to see me at leeds city varieties music hall on friday,.... what a brilliant night !!! my fave bit was the mum and daughter arm wrestlers and ’blue 60’..... and i enjoyed singing "shake’n’vac". i’m back there in september with charlie chuck, so that should be a top night too.

the ’look north’ telly people are going to do a ace peice on me that week,.. as i’m also playing at sheffield city hall too,... i’ll keep you posted .

this week i play at ’the cooler’ in bristol (tickets are £8 advance - full details on my ’shows’ list),....... it’s a late doo,............ so i’ll have to think up a good excuse for my mum.

and finally,........... my "proper telly show in b/w" set, is now set up in the ’reema-leema’ secret base studio,... and filming will begin this week on the third series of my show for channel m,........ who also plan to start showing repeats from series one and two,... to get people used to the slot for the b/w episode and the slot for the colour repeat. ......... and don’t forget... you can write to me c/o channel m, urbis, cathedral gardens, manchester, m4 3bg ..... but if you want me to reply.... then you must enclose a stamped addressed envelope, ( no s.a.e. - no reply)..... also, the new fab t-shirts of me should also be onsale in the urbis shop by the end of the week, and in timperley aquatics and luxistore too.

hello fantastic fans,..........

a lot of you want to join me on 'facbook',.... but i just put that on as there were loads of bogus people pretending to be me........ i will not though be doing 'facebook' as i think it's bobbins and i have enough to do withis this site ,... my other sites,.... and my myspace sites too. you can always send me a message through to me on www.myspace.com/franksidebottom but if you want a personal message back ,... then write to me at channel m (details below) ,..... but don't forget a s.a.e. or you wont get a reply.

also a big ace 'thank you' to all who came to see me on saturday in glasgow... you were brilliant,...... and so was charlie chuck who opened the nights entertaiment. that's good ,.... as i'm doing a uk tour with him in september.... the dates of which have now been added to mymyspace 'shows' list.

also it was a sad day on sunday,... when the "frank's world" mosaic was taken down from 'afflecks palace' in manchester, along with all the other ace mosaics done by mark kennedy which were ace,... and part of the manchester scene,....... they have all gone into storage at the moment,... but i might start a petition to get the council to put mine up at the crossroads in timperley !!!! what do you think ????

i had trouble last week with my 'shows' list on myspace and couldn't add any new ones..... so incase this ever happens again ,..... there is now a fully working "concerts" section on the "showbiz" section this site, which will constantly be updated.,... ifact there is new stuff now being aded to the whole site on a daily basis (thank you - russ , wetdude, and of course me).

on friday night this week i make a ace return to the city varteties music hall in leeds, where i will be supporting myself and doing to sets,.... also if you live in the yorkshire television area,... you can see me at 6pm on bbc 1's "look north", where they are doing a special film on me !!!.

right back to finishing my album this week,.... i'll keep you informed,... and ta to chris moyles for taliking about me for 45 minues on his radio 1 show last week. and i'll be on the final episode of bbc 2's scottish videogaden next month,.... and my next series of my "proper telly show in b/w" will follow at the end of april,.. along with more "testcard" transmissions (for television engineers only) in the middle of the night. ,... and for new york fans with television sets,... get ready for my 'manhattan cable hour' starting soon..

hello fantastic fans,.......

yes ,.... i went on dressed as a nun,..... then did a bit as a preist,.... before finishing off as elvis,..
but now i'm back from craggy island,... where a ace time was had by all at the 'friends of ted' (father ted convention)...... but it took...........

...... one taxi,... one coach,... 3 bus's,.... 4 mini bus's,.... 5 aeroplanes,.... and a ferry,...
plus 5 different airports,.... 2 bus stations,.... 2 ferry terminals and a total travelling time of over 24 hours.... (13 hours 15 mins going on friday,...... and 11 hours coming back on saturday) ,........... and all for 45 minutes on stage !!!

........ but it was all well worth it,..... and my highlights were - some of the most hair raising take-offs and landings i've ever been on (you pay for that at the fair!). and the areoplane from craggy island (inis mor) to the irish maine land was good .... the plane was full . . . all 6 seats.!!!!,.... but i think the ferry was the best,.... they had canncelled all sailings to the island all day.... but were forced to start it again at 6 at night due to the build up of nuns and vicars on the mainland,.... so in the pitch black ... the ferry plus a local fishings boat set sail as a amarda into the atlantic ocean with over 450 nuns, preists, bishops and mrs doyle's..... and we were pounded.... i'm suprised we didn't loose someone overboard..... but 45 minutes later we all arrived on craggy island...... soaking wet....but with the world's biggiest cup of tea you've ever seen.

the concert was ace ,.... i was top of the bill in the village hall (where they shoot all the father ted disco and concert scenes),.. along with 'the royal mugs',... 'evlis presley',.... and the dj priest (who had more that just 'ghost town' with him tonight')...... and the whole thing was beltin' fun. ..... and is still going on now as i write this back in timperley.

meanwhile back on the mainland ,..... plans are afoot to take down all the mosaics on the outside of afflecks palace,.... including the two with me on. i've added a photo of the "franksworld" one to 'my pics' along with a couple of photos from 'the aftershow'.

p.s. has anyone seen me on bbc4 tv's "citizen smith" ? ... i keep missing it !
p.p.s. a midweek win 4-2 against 'showmans' has put 'the bigshorts' up to 3rd in the league,... just 3 points behind the leaders...... not bad ,... seeing as we came out of 2007 bottom of the table............... see www.myspace.com/bigshortsfc where there are some new photos.
