Sad news indeed.

Used to watch him on TV when I was younger and saw him live at Sheffield & Buxton in the last couple of years.

Something really connected me with his unique type of humour and I know I will keep on laughing with him.

Was planning to see him again, but sadly not to be now.

Like another poster has already said -

Deserved far more credit and recognition than he was given.

Heaven just gained a comical genius, being from Timperley myself hearing you passed hurt!!! Still got all the “OINK” comics from the 80′s with your cartoons in them, GENIUS!!! All I ask is to keep God laughing!!!

I am so gutted. I will aways remember you Frank. I remember watching you on tv in my bedroom when I was a child, you made me laugh so much my mum would wonder what was going on!

Chris created a trully magical world for Frank Sidebottom and the rest of us to inhabit. I friend of mine at school back in the eighties told me about Radio Timperley and I though he had lost the plot, until I tuned in. I was instantly hooked, the magic of radio, puppets and space, fantastic tales, his Mum, Mrs Merton’s baby, formica cupboards, Mr matching suit and bow tie, Jim Jam Butty.

How did he come up with it all!

I hope someone close to him writes his life story and even more fantastic makes a film about him. He’s gone, gone for ever but he was brilliant while he was with us.

I returned from holiday to find that Frank Sidebottom was no longer with us. Such terribly sad news, I am absolutely gutted. My favourite memory is driving along listing to Frank’s ‘City Medley’ and having to pull over as I couldn’t see due to the laughter tears. God Bless you Frank x
