… and i’ll be at the salutation pub, higher chatham street (off oxford rd) manchester, where i’ll be singing my new world cup song “three shirts on my line” and loads of other footie anthems too ! …. big screen for the match,… small stage for me,… and i’ll be bringing my subutteo too !

i’ll also be playing soccer stuff (plus your tunes) on my sunday “radio timperley” shows through june/july …

the parade starts at 10pm in alty,… and works it’s way down to beech road playing fields in timperley by noon,.. where they have live shows, a beer tent and funfair for the afternoon !!!

right,… back to football !

and a big “thank you” to all who have come to see me on my shows with john cooper clarke over the last few months,… you have all been brilliant… and there may be plans for me and clarkie to tour ireland !

the last two nights at the assembly rooms in derby, and the leadmill in sheffield were being filmed for a documentry to be shown on the bbc (autum ?) and they did a interview with me too to go in it…. also they filmed both nights when i joined jonny onstage with my guitar to perform “36 hours” with him,… and we are getting a copy of that to go in the next “timperley tv”

my next solo concert in this friday (4th june) at the parr hall in warrington,.. where i’ll be playing two sets along with my stupid ventrilloquist puppet !

the “me as me after chemotherapy” artwork (above right) sold for £480 ,.. wow, that is fantastic and all the money will be going to cancer research,… i am talking with the mcmillan cancer trust,.. and they may do a limited edition run of signed prints of it !!!
but it was a brilliant responce from you lot,… and it had over 14,500 views !!! (that’s bazzin’ for somthing on ebay !)….. my “me as skeletor” is up there at the moment,.

and i just want to say a big “thank you” to everyone who came to see me last night at the leadmill in sheffield,… where i did some showbizness with my ace mate john cooper clarke,….

it was the last in a series of shows i’ve i’ve been doing with him,.. and what a wonderful end it was,… with me getting up with johnny with my guitar and backing him on “36 hours”,…. what a honour !!!

i’ve had 2 operations this week on my cancer, one was taking some bobbins cancer stuff out (which they let me watch on a screen in colour and in black’n'white – how very space 1999 is that !) ,.. and the other was having a tube put in my throat.
both went ace and i’m feeling fine,.. but i’ll be back onstage tonight,… read on,…

and no,… i’m not having a birthday cancer party !!!!
i had my birthday party last month,… and i only found out about my cancer 2 weeks ago!.
… lets celebrate morrissey’s birthday ( & no,.. he’s not 63 as it said in the press !!!)

as every day i fancy a sundae !

so this week i’ve got concerts at….
** friday 28th ~ derby assembly rooms,… with john cooper clarke…

** saturday 29th ~ sheffield leadmill,… also with my mate clarkie….
** & next week (4th june) i’m doing a full solo show at warrington’s parr hall.

,… and we’ll be onstage together for a special finale !!!!
,… and “no”,… he’s not 127 years old…. !!!

aren’t some news reporters stupid !!!
i did one ( and only one) interview 10 days ago when i found out i’d got cancer,…
… since then i’ve turned down loads of interviews,…
but there have been loads so called “interviews” with me,… which basically they have just taken from the first interview and changed it a bit !!!! (and the first interview “changed what i said ” anyway !!!)

… anyway,… it all helps my “me as me after chemotherapy” fund raiser for cancer no-matter what they print….

just remember 2 golden rules….

1. don’t beleive everything you read in the papers….
2. incorrect publicity,… is better than no publicity !
